Human Rights Policy
Last reviewed: August 2026 · Reviewed annually by the Board of Here We Flo
Our mission is bloody brilliant cycle care that is better for our bodies and the planet.
Better is doing a lot of work. Better products. Better choices. And a better deal for every person whose work brings those products to life.
A world where people with periods are crazy confident in their messiest moments only happens if the people behind our products are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. Human rights are not a reporting obligation for us. They are foundational to who we are.
This policy sets out what we stand for, what we expect of ourselves, and what we require of others that we work with.
OUR FRAMEWORK
The standards we align to
We are guided by internationally recognised human rights standards, including the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the International Bill of Human Rights (including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights), and the International Labour Organisation Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. We comply with applicable human rights and employment law wherever we operate, including the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, the Equality Act 2010 and the Human Rights Act 1998.
SCOPE
Who this applies to
This policy applies to Here We Flo Limited and our group companies. All directors, officers, employees, contractors, and interns are expected to comply with this policy. We also require the businesses that we work with, including suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, logistics providers and agents, to uphold standards consistent with this policy.
We reserve the right to ask for information and to verify compliance, including through audit or independent assessment, and we expect partners to work with us in good faith to put things right where they fall short. Serious or persistent failure to meet these standards, or an unwillingness to remedy it, may lead us to end the relationship.
OUR COMMITMENTS
What we stand for
We hold ourselves to the commitments below, and we require the same of the businesses we work with.
No forced or child labour
We do not tolerate forced labour, bonded labour, modern slavery, human trafficking, or child labour in any form, in our own business or anywhere in our supply chain. We work to ensure every person whose work brings our products to market does so freely, with the right to leave at will.
Fair pay and working hours
We believe work should be fairly rewarded. We expect all workers connected to our business to be paid at least the legal minimum wage in their jurisdiction, to work lawful and reasonable hours, and for any overtime to be voluntary and properly compensated.
Safe and healthy conditions
People have the right to work in safe and healthy conditions. We are committed to maintaining healthy, safe environments across our own operations, and we require the same of those we partner with. Accidents and injuries must be recorded and investigated, and we expect corrective action to follow.
Freedom of association
Workers have the right to join or form trade unions and worker associations, and to engage in collective bargaining. We respect and support those rights, and we expect our business partners to adopt an open attitude towards trade union activity. Where workers are represented by legally recognised representatives, we expect constructive dialogue and good-faith engagement with those representatives.
No discrimination or harassment
We do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, bullying or abuse on any ground, including sex, gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, disability, age, religion or belief, sexual orientation, gender identity, pregnancy, marital or civil partnership status, health status, political opinion, trade union membership or activity, or migrant or worker status. In the UK this is underpinned by the Equality Act 2010.
Gender equality and menstrual dignity
Equality sits at the core of Here We Flo. We exist for people with periods, and we have a particular commitment to their rights and dignity. That includes equal pay, freedom from gender-based violence and harassment, and access to menstrual health and dignity at work. We factor this lens into how we assess risk and choose the partners we work with.
Privacy and personal data
We respect everyone's right to privacy. We handle personal data lawfully, fairly and transparently, in line with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and other applicable data protection laws, and we will not use data in ways that could harm or expose individuals. Our privacy notice within ourPrivacy Policy Page on our website sets out how we handle personal data in more detail.
DUE DILIGENCE
How we identify and manage risk
We take a risk based due diligence approach, consistent with the UN Guiding Principles, to identify, prevent, mitigate, and account for how we address human rights impacts connected to our business. Our mission is to be better for bodies and the planet, and that standard runs through every part of our supply chain. In practice, this means:
— identifying and assessing human rights risks across our own operations and our supply chain, with particular attention to higher-risk geographies, product categories and worker groups
— building our requirements into supplier selection, onboarding and ongoing business relationships
-
-
communicate our expectations to suppliers and business partners through this policy and any applicable supplier standards or codes of conduct
-
seek to ensure that employees understand this policy and their responsibilities through appropriate training and awareness initiatives
-
— prioritising partners who share our commitment to people and planet, not just those who meet minimum standards
— acting promptly when risks or concerns come to light
We are a growing company. Our due diligence will develop as we scale, and we are committed to being transparent about where we are and where we are heading.
RAISING CONCERNS
Speak up
If anyone, whether an employee, a worker, a supplier, a partner, or someone in our supply chain, has a concern about potential human rights issues connected to Here We Flo, we want to hear about it.
Concerns can be raised to Mary Lawrence (email: mary@hereweflo.co) confidentially and, if you would prefer, anonymously. We will acknowledge a concern within 7 working days, investigate it fairly and promptly, and keep you informed so far as we are able.
No one will face retaliation for raising a concern in good faith or who cooperates with an investigation, and we require the same of our business partners.
GOVERNANCE
Ownership and review
This policy is approved by the Board of Here We Flo. We review it annually, or sooner following material changes to our business, our supply chain or the wider operating context.
